The longer NDC stays in govt, the greater your chances of getting opportunities – Onasis Kobby to party faithfuls

Onasis Kobby Rosely, Deputy CEO for Operations and Technical at the Petroleum Hub Development Corporation, has urged National Democratic Congress members to remain patient and faithful. He contends that the party consistently rewards loyalty and dedication, and that those awaiting government positions should not abandon their commitment.

Speaking at a weekend party gathering, Kobby emphasised the NDC’s historical practice of recognising devoted members. He illustrated this through personal experience, noting his own appointment came after sixteen years of party service across various roles.

The energy expert also referenced President John Mahama’s career trajectory as evidence that political advancement lacks a predetermined formula. He pointed out that numerous NDC figures with earlier presidential aspirations eventually received ministerial positions under Mahama.

Kobby stated: “In politics, there is no conventional pathway to the top.” He further argued that extended NDC governance creates expanded opportunities for all party members.

His remarks address growing discontent among some NDC members who feel overlooked following the party’s 2024 electoral victory. Reports indicate frustration across certain party branches regarding limited job opportunities, though Kobby encourages patience as the government develops additional positions.
